Trillium
One of Russell Lands’ finest waterfront communities, some of the most beautiful lake architecture in the country may be found at Trillium on Lake Martin. Trillium is nestled quietly in the pines on the south side of Lake Martin and is designed to take full advantage of the beauty of the lake. Trillium features large lots with preserved mature timber and gently rolling land to the lakeshore. Development began in 1987 and reached a successful completion in 2004 with over 213 properties sold.
"Trillium" is actually the beautiful foliage that grows on the dense cool forest floors around Lake Martin. Much lovelier than the bracken ferns also native to this area, it is among the most admired small forest plants in the South. Windemere
Windemere began in 1973 by Russell Lands and offers narrow streets with lovely treed canopies providing a shady avenue to every property within the development.. Every lot is carefully positioned to take advantage of the gently sloping land and fantastic views available for this east-facing property.
Windemere has always been a highly sought after location drawing most property owners to move to Lake Martin full time. Roughly 157 properties have been developed in Windemere, with many of the original "cabins" having been replaced with stunning full-time residences.
Windemere West

Windover
Windover, one of the smallest of the Russell Lands developments, is tucked peacefully beside Windemere and offers beautiful views of both mature foliage and deep blue water. Windover was developed by Russell Lands in 1988 and completed the development of the series of coves on the lower east side of the Russell Lands property that includes Windemere, Windemere West and Windover. River Oaks
Begun in 1996, River Oaks was the first Russell Lands development on the north side of Lake Martin to be influenced by the successful and beautiful Windemere and Willow Point communities. Careful consideration was given to the layout of each of the 66 lots that comprise the neighborhood, which sold out in early 2004.
Lots in River Oaks enjoy western exposure on the main lake channel - the Tallapoosa River - and bend around to the quiet eastside setting of the Dennis Creek Cove, popular among lake lovers for water sports and angling. Located within the city limits of Alexander City, River Oaks provides easy access for shopping, schools, golf and medical needs.
Baywood
A beautiful refuge of water and sky, Baywood of River Oaks is conveniently located on the north shores of Lake Martin. All Baywood lots are large, some nearly three acres, with large trees and land that slopes gently to the water's edge.
